A ton of it didn't transfer over and they never finished or even told people what was going on.
#Singstar songs on two ps3 Ps4
People who spent years and money collecting those discs had literally NO reason to try it on the PS4 when the PS3 version had everything you needed.Īnd even when the PS4 version came out, they didn't even add all the DLC to the new store. The #1 biggest complaint about Singstar PS4 is how it no longer worked with discs. Does anyone else hope this franchise comes back? What could they do differently? If I had to guess, maybe there were major licensing issues that came up but if so, why would they even attempt the PS4 version?īull crap. I really hope they can fix whatever issues they had and release a real Singstar game for PS5.

The PS4 player base would have ate it up. All they had to do was release the PS3 game on PS4 with all the same modes and wired mics and the game would have been a massive success. I just don't understand how they messed the release up this badly. They sold songs in the past that had duets, why would they remove this? They also removed party mode, so you couldn't sing with a bunch of people. They removed the duet mode, which is absolutely insane. Then for some reason they decided to strip modes that the PS3 version had from the new version, making the game even lighter than before. I'm not opposed to using a phone to sing karaoke but at the very least they should have sold wired/wireless mics like they did for the PS3 games so that you had a better more reliable option. When they announced Singstar for PS4 I was very excited, but I became less excited when they said they would require phones to be used as the microphones for the game. Plastic instruments may be dead but karaoke will never die. They had a huge library of songs and the modes in the game were basic but fun. Does anyone have any idea what happened to this franchise? I was a huge fan of Singstar on the ps3 and if done right, Singstar could have been a juggernaut on PS4.
